Ron Hoplamazian is a Managing Member of Eclipse Capital Partners, LLC an advisory firm founded in 2012 that provides consulting and investment banking services to institutional clients.
Ron Hoplamazian serves on the ShiftRx Holding, LLC Board of Directors as a Director.
Ron is a former GE Capital executive, has over 20 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, operational and financial restructuring and corporate finance having executed over $20 billion in debt and equity transactions during his career. He has served as a board member in GE Capital's portfolio companies where he partnered with management teams and operating partners across a variety of industries to assist with value creation activities, business strategy expansion and corporate restructuring.
At GE Capital, he served as the head of the Special Situations Group, a business he started in 2007 and grew to ~$1 billion in assets under management across 94 portfolio companies. He was responsible for the oversight of the team’s origination, trading, underwriting, asset management and brokerage functions and sourced opportunities from a broad range of clients including hedge funds, private equity sponsors, asset managers, banking institutions and financial services companies. Prior to that, he was part of GE Capital’s Private Equity Sponsor Finance Group and Global Energy Business where he managed portfolio companies going through corporate transitions and invested in structured debt and equity, project finance and other corporate finance transactions.
Mr. Hoplamazian previously worked for Heller Financial, a Midwest investment bank; Southern Pacific Hotels, the largest hotel management company in the Asia Pacific; and the U.S. Commerce Department. He is a Member of FINRA (U5 - Series 7, 63 & 79), the Loan Syndications and Trading Association (LSTA), the Commercial Finance Association (CFA) and the Turnaround Management Association (TMA).
Mr. Hoplamazian holds a B.S. degree in Economics with an emphasis in Finance from the Pennsylvania State University.
